Yasumi 1.6.0 released

Yasumi 1.6.0 released

When I created Yasumi I never thought it would be popular, more aiming for a useful library for fellow developers, integrators, etc. To my delight, in this first week of January 2017, Yasumi has reached more than 8000 installations, and daily average of 82 downloads in the last week! Big thanks to all the contributors making Yasumi better and more complete library.

Yasumi reaching 8000 installations!

In order to keep the pace ("about every month a new release"), a new release of Yasumi has born: 1.6.0. The 1.6.0 release now includes 65 holiday providers (26 countries and 39 sub-regions), where Austria, Ireland, Romania, and South Africa are welcomed to the family.

Yasumi's World Coverage

New stuff in v1.6.0:

  • Added Holiday Provider for Romania
  • Added Holiday Provider for Ireland
  • Added Holiday Provider for South Africa
  • Added Holiday Provider for Austria
  • Refactored the calculation of Orthodox Easter using the function from ChristianHolidays.php
  • Added 'en_US' translations for the Polish Independence Day and Constitution Day

Resolved issues

  • The parameters of the isHoliday and isWorkingDay methods now allow for classes that derive from DateTime (like the very popular Carbon class)

Yasumi is completely open source and can be found on GitHub.
